What will life be like as a student in Germany?

The idea of travelling to a foreign country can be quite overwhelming, as students worry about culture shock, daily expenses, and social integration. However, the URH Pathway Programme sets our students up to thrive in Germany- both academically and socially.

Through URH, the transition to life in Germany is smooth and streamlined. The first advantage we offer is that all the students from a cohort will be travelling to Germany together. You will arrive with a built-in peer network of Indian students, making it easier to bond over shared experiences and support each other. Nobody gets left behind.

However, your social circle in Germany will not be limited to the local Indian community! Even before departure from India, students will be invited to join interactive webinars and online meetups with the International Office of FH Dortmund. Students will also be equipped with a C1 level in German, allowing them to confidently participate in local events and befriend students from other backgrounds as well.

Your language proficiency will also help you with the logistics of day-to-day responsibilities like finding accommodation, as clear communication with landlords can help build trust and rapport. Plus, our students can profit from the 20-hour work allowance that Germany provides to international students in order to secure better part-time jobs and ease financial stress.
